2018 12.13/01.13 Group Exhibition Calligh Berri Bui: Outburst GOMA WATERFORD
Elements recurr in my art. Themes are revisited in time and by time. My art practice connects objects, memories and actions. My work is a-temporary, it happens and evolves in its elements, possessing a mutable, vulnerable nature, valuing the time lairs. Objects are due to last, but perishable and fragile in nature, like beings, decayable. I touch the viewer with unfinished, cracked, unbalanced, garbage work. I do not care about frames, protection, preservation, finishing. I care of serendipity. Something perishable. I think of the set, the story. Not of a gallery unless it becomes a place in transit. Contamination as political statement: my art is not separate, detatched. It is involved and corrupted by events. Unplanned, drafted. Often the expositions are interactive to contaminated audiences and elements. I make art which represents (tells) stories I may deeply care about. I choose epic desctiption to lyrical or sentimental. I like to contradict myself with changes and new last minutes plans. I hate short statements.
