1999 A-GRO Ba Theatre Co. SFXwith Dancers Association of Ireland
The show A-Gro Ba is build on Physical Theatre Improvisation At the time in Ireland this was an unknown or certaily not familiar theatre form, so we got included in the Dancers Association. The use of random chosen texts and sounds/actions is here functional to create a sequence of rhythmic actions to communicate some understanding on human dynamics of interaction. The dual work of the company co-directed and co-performed by McBett and Patrizia Barbagallo was to explore hystorical, social, private issues using improvisation, linking elements together through a draft of scrips, a tread of actions, and working in relation to specific set and props on ground without stage. Here the show is presented on its drafted initial phase, bare, with no set/props or costumes. We stopped the activity later that year before getting funds to develop the show, after Patrizia decided to take a different route for her personal life, so did I. |
