Jack-Jars 441: Fragility and Strength Waterford Healing Arts Trust /DUBLIN
The jars, made with a 10% recycled glass, were donated in greater quantity by Irish Glass Bottle Company, when in year 2000, I created the sculpture for it's first exposition in Dublin Castle Gardens, during the Art Competition Sculpture in Context.
The donation to the Waterford Arts Trust was motivated by the need to test the lasting of the jars outdoor.
The installation resisted quite unaltered for 11 years, till the caps rusted losing the required mechanical strength to keep the jars.
